It has been 30 years since then... why has this legendary direct stopped making movies?

(Summary)
Thirty years ago, Daikon (Masaya Kato) directed a legendary film, but is now a man of the past. He leads an empty life as a pimp for Tamako (Asami Kumakiri), who works as a prostitute. One day, Tamako's ex-boyfriend shows up, saying, "Don't think you can stay away from me." Daikon and Tamako flee to a strip joint in Hiroshima, where there old college friend is the director. The director (Yuji Yokoyama) warmly welcomes them, and they end up living backstage at the strip joint. The two are attracted to each other, and their friends living in the entertainment district open and friendly towards them. They continue there comfortable and worm time together, but their relationship begins to unravel when Daikon makes a move on a stripper (Haruka Obara). He is unable to face the words of the director who reprimands him. Tamako, who tenderly watches over the pimp-turned-director Daikon's emotional struggles, also has an unspeakable and terrible past. What is the future of these clumsily living fools?
