Produced in 2016, the 45th anniversary of Kamen Rider, as part of the Super Hero Year celebration,
“Kamen Rider Amazons” was created.
Taking inspiration from the bold and impactful “Kamen Rider Amazon” (1974), the ambitious classic that once left a powerful impression, the series was completely reimagined while inheriting its wild visuals and intense action.
Legendary staff members who helped shape the Heisei Kamen Rider Series, together with a top-tier action team, joined forces to open a new chapter in the history of Kamen Rider.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of Kamen Rider Amazons, a special Blu-ray BOX is being released featuring both seasons:
SEASON 1 (all 13 episodes), originally distributed starting April 1, 2016, and
SEASON 2 (all 13 episodes), distributed starting April 7, 2017.
Story
Artificial lifeforms known as “Amazons” were created through pharmaceutical research.
While living secretly within human society, they maintain human appearances yet possess an instinct to devour humans.
Haruka Mizusawa, born as the “third Amazon” after Amazon cells were combined with human DNA, struggles with the question: “Am I human… or an Amazon?”
As Kamen Rider Amazon Omega, he throws himself into battle.
His path ultimately leads to a fateful conflict with Jin Takayama, the man who fights as Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha and is determined to exterminate the Amazons.
Five years later, a new threat emerges—one that turns humans into Amazons.
A boy and a girl burdened with harsh destinies appear.
Some fight to protect.
Others fight to eliminate.
When these conflicting convictions collide, the story races toward a brutal conclusion.
