In the inner palace inside a large country located in the center of the continent, there lived a lone girl. Her name is Maomao.
She used to work as an apothecary in the red-light district, but now she is working as a servant in the inner palace. One day she learns that the emperor's sons all die young. When Maomao hears that his two current songs are are also gradually growing weaker due to illness, she becomes intrigued and begins to investigate the matter and found out its cause.

She knows that there is no such things as "curses."

A beautiful eunuch, Jinshi, apoints Maomao as the poisoner of the emperor's favorite daughter. Maomao has no interest in people, but is obsessed with all things poison and medicine related. Maomao finds herself caught up in all kinds of different rumors and incidents. Even though Jinshi's orders are getting more and more tiresome, she always manages to get the job done. Today is another busy day inside the inner palace for this poison loving girl.
