An unusual tourist spot, and an unusual job.

≪Story≫
Protagonist Yoshino Koharu is a rather ordinary 20-year old girl who had escaped from the country to the city for university, and whose graduation is swiftly approaching.

Dreaming that in a city like Tokyo, surely something special is waiting for her, she goes to interviews with over 30 companies... and doesn't receive a single offer. Her bank account contains 980 yen.

If things go on like this, she'll just have to go home to her backwater hometown and turn into a middle aged farm lady, she worries... until, one day, a temp agency she took a job for once contacts her with a new request: to go be the monarch of a small town in the country, as part of a tourism revival project. Yoshino doesn't really get it, but she decides she may as well take up the offer, and heads to a town called Manoyama. It is a micronation: a fad that once boomed throughout Japan before the economic bubble burst of the early 90s, and which are rare today. Manoyama, however, has continued the micronation gimmick - and is now a dated, ailing tourist spot.

It is here that Yoshino's unusual job begins.
