≪Story≫
The end of the Tokugawa shogunate is in turmoil. Kenshin Himura is an assassin under the leadership of Kogoro Katsura, the leader of the Choshu clan, a faction of the overthrowing shogunate. He is feared as Himura the Battousai, the strongest manslayer without blood or tears. One night, Himura is caught in the act of manslaughter by a young woman he rescued, Yukishiro Tomoe, and is forced to keep her at his side to keep her quiet. After that, he and Tomoe go into hiding in a farming village to escape from the Shogunate's pursuers. There, he finds his true happiness. One day, however, Tomoe suddenly disappears...
