Shotaro Mamiya, one of the most promising actors of the moment, stars in "Nanba MG5", the first live-action adaptation of the popular manga of the same name.
The film is a painful coming-of-age drama about a young delinquent who decides to "get rid of his gangster ways" and lead a wholesome high school life, but ends up getting caught up in a series of incidents.
Mamiya, in his first starring role in a Fuji Television drama, brilliantly portrays the "duality" of the main character, Tsuyoshi, who in front of his family, he is a tough juvenile delinquent in a Tokkofuku, but at school he is a serious high school student in a school uniform.

The film is directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro, known for his "Bayside Shakedown" series.
