When Shinpei Ajiro hears that his childhood friend Ushio Kofune has died, he returns to his hometown of Hitogashima Island, Wakayama Prefecture for the first time in two years.

He reunites with friends and family, and attends her funeral. However, Shinpei's best friend So Hishigata tells him that there were some suspicious things surrounding her death, and that it may have been a murder.

The next day, an entire family from the neighborhood suddenly vanishes. At the same time, Shinpei learns of a sinister rumor: "If you see a "shadow" that looks exactly like you, you will die. The shadow will kill you...!"

Pieces fall into place when Ushio's little sister Mio says that her sister saw a shadow three days before her death...

The curtain raises on a time-travelling sci-fi suspense story, set on a summer island in the Tomogashima Channel!
