Junichi Tanaka (Masaki Aiba) runs a farm in the middle of the countryside. One day out of the blue his ex-wife Sawako Akai (Noriko Eguchi) and his elementary school aged son Kazuya Akai (Kenshin Uehara) come from Tokyo to visit him. Due to unseen circumstances the they end up living with Junichi for the time being. Around that time, unexplainable strange phenomena start to happen in the woods near by. In the town where Junichi and his family live, there is a string of suspicious cases of sudden deaths and disappearances of the townsfolk. Soon after Junichi and Kazuya wittens teh unidentifiable "thing" that is in the forest and being to expeience unknown fear.
