Akane Kinoshita, a young college student, is forced to confront one of the worst things that has ever happened to her....her boyfriend tell her that he is breaking up with you because he has been cheating on her with a women he met though an online game.

The only reason she even started playing the same online game as him was so that she could related to him and have something to talk about....now all that is left of the relationship is the character she made with him.

In order to relieve stress Akane picks up the game again and starts rampaging through the hunting grounds. There she happens to meet a character with the name "Yamada" a member that is in the same guild as her. She starts to complain about her ex to him but he just responds rudely "I don't care."

When Akane decides to attend an irl event for the game she hears those same familiar words in the crowd...
