◆Act 1: The Holy Man of Mount Koya (Kyoka Izumi)
[Summary]
On the way from Hida to Shinshu, a traveling monk from Mount Koya chases medicine man from Toyama down an old road where he finally makes it to an old cottage in the mountains. He asks the owner, a beautiful woman, if he could stay the night. The woman agrees but tries to lure him to the river with her almost magical alluring charm. This beautiful woman actually harbors a dark secret...
◆Act 2: Tsuchigami to Kitsune (Kenji Miyazawa)
[Summary]
A wild and savage Earth God and a vain fox. Both are in love with a birch tree. The fox feels remorse over telling the birch tree lies and other boastful stories to win her attention. The Earth God grows jealous of the fox fro becoming close to the birch tree. The love the two feel for the birch tree ends in tragedy.
